Subject: SWMLC openings

Dear EEBB community,

These openings may be of interest to some of you, or your students. In a nutshell, the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy, an excellent local conservation organization, is filling two positions. More details attached and provided below by Mitch Lettow – an EEBB alum and one of our non-academic seminar speakers next semester.

All the best,
Lars

From Mitch Lettow:

I wanted to reach out to you all and let you know that we are officially accepting resumes and references for a stewardship specialist position with SWMLC. Our stewardship director left recently, and I'm basically filling his role with a few tweaks, and someone will be filling mine. Attached is the job description. Feel free to distribute to anyone you think might be interested, grad students nearing "the end," recently graduate undergrads, or otherwise. This person would be my partner in crime here at stewardship at SWMLC (not sure if that's incentive or not!).

We also are looking for another stewardship technician. I'll attach both job descriptions. This might be a good opportunity for a recently graduated undergraduate that is from this area? It is a 6 month position with a likely opportunity for have that extended (pending grant additional grant funding). It would be great for someone looking for some on the ground experience in land management and ecological restoration.

We'll be accepting stewardship specialist applications for ~2 weeks, until September 27. Folks interested can email their resume and references to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> From there we'll try to keep people in the loop and review resumes in the most timely fashion possible and get back to folks as soon as we know. Our website is a great place to learn more about us in the meantime for potential applicants. www.swmlc.org<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.swmlc.org_&d=DwMGaQ&c=nE__W8dFE-shTxStwXtp0A&r=R45ib1yFjfIGkmGCKKHiUg&m=sGAYr37je_1VK5WkznkGS92RuzZlX6x9pGpBLFfMp30&s=ceSgLfRY51KmXvGW0yAG13f7sfy4pbWZKfISfBWd6vo&e=>

Anybody interested in the crew can just email me ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>).
