TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT
The University of Amsterdam Business School (ABS) is looking to fill a tenure track position of Assistant Professor in the field of International Management (IM). This position is housed within
the International Strategy and Marketing (ISM) department, which incorporates the tracks of International Management, Marketing and Strategy. The anticipated starting date is 1st September 2020.

to around 40 faculty members from different international backgrounds in addition to PhD students, post-docs and affiliated faculty. The ISM group is one of the most research-active teams in ABS, with scholars publishing in top International Business (IB)/IM
journals and active in editorial boards in a variety of international academic journals and organizations. The IB/IM faculty has internationally recognized expertise in corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, innovation, offshoring, sustainable
development, emerging economies, and location-specific versus international strategies.
What we are looking for
We are interested in candidates with clear expertise in International Management (IM) or International Business (IB), who:

hold a PhD in IB or IM (or be close to finishing)

have a clear research portfolio in IM/IB, and preferably already (forthcoming)
publications in reputable journals

take their teaching seriously with proven ability in teaching IM/IB at the undergraduate
and graduate level

are ambitious team players with good ability to work individually and with a team

Appointees at the assistant professor level will be offered a tenure track position for six years. Upon meeting the tenure track criteria, a permanent contract as Associate Professor will be offered.
Salary will be in accordance with Dutch academic salary scales, include a pension scheme, and range between €3,637 to €5,656 gross per month, dependent on experience and track record of the candidate. A temporary reduction in income tax (equal to 30% of taxable
salary) may apply to non-Dutch candidates. The Collective Labor Agreement
for Dutch Universities is applicable.
