The AIB UKI Chapter will elect a new Treasurer during its forthcoming April 2019 Conference at the University of Sussex. This role is open to AIB UKI members and is for a three- year term, which may be renewed for a further three-year term. Interested candidates should at first instance contact the Secretary of the Chapter Prof Mario Kafouros ([log in to unmask]) and express their interest copying two other members who support their candidacy. The deadline for registering interest on this role to the Secretary of the Chapter is 22 March 2019.

 

The duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

• Look after the finances of the Chapter.
• Produce annual financial report to the Chapter.
• Collect, deposit and disburse funds and pay the bills promptly as approved by the Chairperson / Executive Committee of the Chapter.
• Preserve all receipts, invoices, bank statements and other financial records.
• Maintain accurate financial records throughout the year to be reviewed when there are requests.
• Reconcile monthly financial statements.
• Attend AIB UK & Ireland executive committee meetings.
• Inform the Chapter of its financial status, as needed.
