FYI...please make your students aware of this (it is centered around social entrepreneurship). The video is about 2.5 minutes-may be worth showing in class.

Subject: Great Academic Opportunity for Your Students - Please Pass Along!

Hi Neil,

As someone who works directly with the entrepreneurial community on campus, I wanted to reach out about a great opportunity for undergraduates to boost their resumes and win some cash in the process! The Graduate Management Admissions Council, the makers of the GMAT exam, recognize the importance of a graduate management education and encourage students to think about the many doors an MBA could open for them, including their own start-up venture. Would your students be interested in winning $500? How about $10,000? This semester, GMAC has created the first ever Think Like an Entrepreneur Competition open to all undergraduate students across the United States. We were hoping you could help spread the word about this competition and encourage Michigan State students to get involved!

Please feel free to copy and paste the information below into an email or newsletter as a quick and easy way to pass along the information to your students. Let me know if you have any questions or would like more information on the GMAT exam and the discounts they offer undergraduate students, as I would be more than happy to answer them or hop on a quick call! Thank you in advance - and best of luck to your students!

Think Like an Entrepreneur Competition
New this semester, GMAT is asking students to use their problem-solving skills to solve a social issue and motivate their classmates to join in the effort! Submissions to the competition must address a social cause, connecting the skills needed for impactful social entrepreneurship with a graduate business education. Entries will be accepted now through March 31st, 2019.

Students simply need to submit an idea in the form of a product, service, or program that has the potential to impact and improve the lives of others. Supporting rationale outlining the strategy must be provided, as well as a visual demonstration of the concept such as a website, sketch, video, social campaign etc.

Head to gmat.com/thinkbusiness to find out more about the assignment and how to enter. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 and there will be four, first place winners who receive $500 each. Finalists will be chosen by a judging panel and then winners will be selected through online student voting.
