Joint
JIBS and JIBP Paper Development Workshop at the
46th
Academy of International Business UK & Ireland Chapter Conference
University of Sussex, Brighton, UK
25
April 2019
The 2019 joint Paper Development Workshop (PDW) of the Journal of International Business Studies and the Journal of International Business Policy will be held on the morning of Thursday April 25, 2019 at the University of Sussex, Brighton. Participants should plan to arrive in Brighton the evening before. The workshop takes place before the 2019 AIB-UKI Chapter Conference (see https://www.aib-uki.org/conference.htmlhttps://www.aib-uki.org/conference.html ).
The
purpose of the PDW is to provide scholars with developmental feedback on their international business research. We invite original papers from
new authors who have not previously published in their targeted journal,
JIBS or JIBP.
We particularly encourage submissions from scholars who are at universities that offer limited research support, or who are trained in disciplines less commonly associated with the field (e.g.
geography, political science or history) but are interested in targeting international business journals.
PDW
participants will receive feedback on their work from experienced international business scholars on the JIBS or JIBP Editorial Board.
The workshop will start with an introductory session on publishing in these journals, led by
JIBS Area Editor Becky Reuber. Authors will then be paired with experienced scholars to discuss their paper.
Prospective
participants should submit their paper by email, by Monday,
February 4
(to

). An
applicant may submit only one paper, but may submit the same paper for presentation at the conference.
The cover page should include your name, email address and affiliation. Papers must conform to the style guidelines for conference paper submissions, listed on the conference website. All participants must register for the conference
before they confirm workshop attendance.
Participants
will be notified about the acceptance of their submissions by Friday,
February 15. They will be required to confirm their participation and register for the conference by
March 15. If they wish a more up-to-date version of their paper to be discussed at the workshop, they will be able to submit one up until Friday, April 5.
