UCC wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Marketing to the Department of Management and Marketing, Cork University Business School. The Department of Management and Marketing is committed to providing a dynamic and supportive learning and research environment, which recognises the diverse backgrounds and interests of both students and staff. The purpose of this post is to further the realisation of the Department’s vision to be recognised as both a disciplinary leader in management and marketing research and education, and for our multi-disciplinary contribution to addressing the pressing challenges of business and society. The Department is investing in the marketing discipline with the launch of a new MSc Marketing (Strategic Marketing and Practice) due to take place in the next Academic Year.

Faculty in the department are increasingly recognised at a national and international level for the quality of their research as evidenced by publications in the leading international journals, holding of editorial roles, membership of editorial advisory boards, and so forth. The advertised role will involve contributing to the design, development and delivery of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as conducting research and publishing in high quality outlets, supervise students, and contribute to the administrative duties of the school and the academic life of the university.

Applications for the Lectureship in Marketing are invited from those with teaching and research experience in Marketing. Subject expertise in digital marketing, marketing communications and/or marketing ethics are especially required. Applicants of an inter-disciplinary nature whose research and teaching experience demonstrate the ability and willingness to teach across multiple areas of marketing are especially encouraged to apply.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale:  €33,481 - €59,132/€64,627 - €83,069. In all instances the successful appointment will be at the first point of the scale.
