The Compartiendo Comida y Cultura (Sharing Food & Culture) dinner celebrates LatinX agricultural heritage and contributions to Michigan’s agricultural system. The dinner will highlight several farmers from the Red de Productores Hispanos<https://www.miffs.org/reddeproductoreshispanos> farming network, a group that includes several Spanish-speaking farmers in the state. Torti Tacos, winner of the Detroit and Kalamazoo taco showdown will cater. The dinner takes place on Saturday, November 10 (5PM to 8PM) at the Allen Neighborhood Center (1611 E Kalamazoo St Lansing MI). Food will be served from 5-7 PM with farmer presentations beginning at 6PM. Dinner plates will range, with an expected price of about $9/per person. The dinner will be inclusive for both English and Spanish speakers.

This dinner, co-hosted by the MSU Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Minor capstone students, and the Michigan Food and Farming Systems organization, and the MSU Julian Samora Research Institute, will be a safe space for dialogue in all languages, and to expand cultural boundaries. All are welcome!
