Tufts University Bridge Professorship in STEM Education Research

Tufts University invites applications for the McDonnell Family Bridge Professorship in STEM Education Research. The successful candidate will be appointed as a tenured professor in both the School of Engineering and the School of Arts & Sciences, and they will help lead the newly-formed Institute for Research on Learning and Instruction (IRLI).   • teach undergraduate courses in their discipline as well as graduate and undergraduate courses focused in the Learning Sciences;
  • advise PhD, masters, and undergraduate students;
  • serve as a senior faculty member of IRLI, helping to shape its formation and direction in research, teaching, and outreach.

Qualifications

The successful candidate has a doctoral degree in a STEM field, the Learning Sciences, or related area and a distinguished record of research in undergraduate STEM Education. Desirable areas of experience and emphasis include underrepresented students, educational technology, and institutional change.
