FAO is looking for a Team Leader for the Ecosystem Management Team (aka Agroecology): "The Plant Production and Protection Division (AGP) promotes the sustainable intensification of crop production (SCPI). This requires the integration and harmonization of all appropriate crop production policies and practices within FAO’s common vision for sustainable food and agriculture that aims at enhancing productivity; natural resources conservation; rural livelihoods and resilience. The Senior Agricultural Officer will lead the Ecosystem Management Team (AGPME) - one of the six teams in the Division. The Team provides advice, technical support and guidance to countries aimed at sustainable increasing crop production as a key contribution to food security and promoting transformation of agricultural production to integrated agroecological production. The incumbent leads a Team of technical specialists focusing on agroecological approaches to sustainable crop production systems that also promotes interdisciplinary and cross - sectoral work towards integrated agricultural production.
