National Alliance for Broader Impacts developed a guiding document as part of its efforts to facilitate the design of initiatives that meet National Science Foundation's Broader Impacts merit review criteria (NABI, 2016). One of these goals -- "improved STEM education and educator development at any level" (NABI, 2016) -- has recently been reported to be the most commonly pursued criterion (Verdin, 2017). Such efforts require a bridge that connects K-12 and post-secondary staff. This session is dedicated to sharing efforts to connect K-12 and post-secondary, highlighting diverse pathways that represent the full spectrum of AGU divisions.  These pathways can be envisioned as entry points within a continuum that can lead to collaborative, sustainable partnerships between K-12 teachers and scientists, supporting student engagement in authentic science research.
