Workshop Summary:

Please join us for an engaging discussion on emergent research avenues that inform

entrepreneurial and organizational practice towards addressing pressing societal issues across
the African region. The discussion will identify and frame leading questions and trends in conceptual
and empirical investigations as cultivated from the rich exchanges among participants in the workshop.
Utilizing a creative facilitative approach, key insights will be captured and framed toward articulating an

emergent and exploratory research agenda purposed to advance some of the Sustainable

Development Goals targeted at improving lives in Africa.

Overview:
The entrepreneurship literature has significantly expanded to propose pressing

questions and possible answers to the world's most looming societal issues. Organizations are

adopting an entrepreneurial lens to re-imagine processes and products that address systemic and

resource challenges that undermine the health and welfare of numerous African communities. In

this PDW, we aim to foster an inclusive forum whereby scholars and practitioners can collectively

explore how research is informing organizations' local and global practices that are advancing

sustainable development across communities of the African continent as well as identify

important questions that can inform novel directions for research.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to seeing you there!
