Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in International Business
Carson College of Business,
Department of Marketing and International Business
Pullman, WA

The Department of Marketing and International Business at Washington State University in Pullman, WA is seeking qualified candidates for a permanent, full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate or Full Professor depending on qualifications.

Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. in International Business, Marketing or closely aligned field from a nationally or internationally recognized university by September 1, 2019. Additional qualification of at least 6 years as an Assistant Professor or equivalent is required for Associate Professor, and at least 6 years as an Associate Professor or equivalent is required for Full Professor. Demonstrated record of research published in, and current research targeted towards the field's premier journals (e.g., JIBS). Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and teaching effectiveness.

Preferred qualifications: Building on the department's reputation in Marketing and International Business, the preferred candidate must have demonstrated excellence in research related to International Business, as well as demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary fashion; international work experience; capable of teaching International Business, and one or more of the following (undergraduate or graduate) courses: International Marketing, International Management plus various marketing and international business electives; demonstrated knowledge and excellence of teaching at the undergraduate, MBA or executive levels. Research interests need not be directly related to teaching areas.

Duties: Teach (in distance-learning programs and actual classroom) International Business, be actively involved with doctoral education, maintain an active research program targeting the field's premier journals, make service contributions to his/her department, college, university, community, and profession, and help further the International mission of the Carson College of Business.

Term, Compensation and Support: The term of appointment is a nine-month academic year, beginning on August 16, 2019. Normal teaching load is six hours (2 courses per semester). Rank and salary are open; benefits are competitive; the retirement system is TIAA/CREF. Initial summer research support is normally available for more junior faculty; competitive summer research grants are also normally available. In addition, the department maintains a large, multifunctional behavior lab and subject pool for research purposes.

General Information: Washington State University is a land grant institution founded in 1890 and is one of two major research universities in the State of Washington. WSU serves the needs of over 31,000 students on 5 campuses. The main Pullman campus is located in the Palouse area of southeastern Washington. Pullman offers a beautiful and safe, small-town college environment. The Carson College of Business offers AACSB accredited programs at undergraduate, masters and Ph.D. levels. The Department of Marketing and International Business consists of 12 faculty (across 2 campuses) who value quality research and excellent teaching. The Carson College of Business has invested in a state-of-the-art Center for Behavioral Business Research (CBBR; opened in early 2010).
