Symbiosis International (Deemed University)
Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is nestled on a beautiful 300 acre campus, the Symbiosis Knowledge Village, on the outskirts of the city of Pune in Maharashtra, India. The University's name fittingly captures the quintessence of the relationship that the founder, Dr. S.B. Mujumdar had envisioned - a mutually beneficial bond between students from India and the International student community.
Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is established under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act and offers programmes across seven disciplines namely Law, Management, Computer Studies, Health & Biological Sciences, Media, Communication & Design, Humanities & Social Sciences and Engineering.
The University and has been re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with Grade 'A' and CGPA of 3.58 on a four point scale. Recently, the University has also been graded as a ‘Category 1 University’ as a result of which, the University is empowered to start new programmes, off campus centers, skill development courses, research parks and other new initiatives. The University also has the freedom to hire foreign faculty, enrol foreign students and enter into academic collaborations among other privileges.
In this direction, the University invites applications from:
i) accomplished academics who will help enhance the diversity quotient and also bring in fresh ideas and practices to the table and enrich the teaching-learning process and research at the University. The nature of engagement and the duration could be mutually agreed upon but should be for a minimum period of three months in an academic year at any one or more institutes.
ii) senior academics with excellent teaching, research and administrative credentials for the position of Dean, Faculty of Management and Dean, Faculty of Computer Studies, both of which are full-time positions. Academics who can commit a minimum of two years will be preferred.
