HOSPITABLE FUTURES: PREPARING TALENTS AND UNDERSTANDING THE TECHNOLOGY TO CREATE MEANINGFUL ENCOUNTERS

Hotelschool The Hague<https://hotelschool.nl/en> is organizing and hosting an international conference with the central theme: Hospitable futures: preparing talents and understanding the technology to create meaningful encounters.
The organizing committee is inviting extended abstracts for full papers (research and practitioner), research posters and proposals for panel discussions on the following topics (but not limited to them):


·       Hospitality and the Sustainable Development Goals

·       Hospitality talent management and retention

·       Technology- and artificial intelligence driven hospitality

·       Hospitality and overtourism

·       Hospitality and food waste

·       Sustainable hospitality

·       Hospitality and innovation

·       Hospitality and circularity

·       City hospitality

·       Hospitality and block chain

·       Hospitality and the platform economy

·       Hospitality in health care

·       Education in hospitality

·       Design-oriented research in hospitality

Extended abstracts (in English) should be 1000 – 1200 words and should contain:

  *   Title of the research with information about authors and their affiliations on a separate page
  *   Brief introduction to the topic
  *   Summary description of the theoretical framework and hypotheses (where applicable)
  *   Research design and approach to data analysis (where applicable)
  *   Key findings and practical and theoretical implications

Publication opportunities:
Selected papers will be invited for inclusion in an edited book to be published by Emerald Publishers Ltd, for Hotelschool The Hague Working Papers Series<https://hotelschool.nl/en/research/working-paper-series#!introduction> and in special issues for Hospitality and Society<https://www.intellectbooks.co.uk/journals/view-Journal,id=194/> and other international refereed journals.
Visiting Amsterdam:

Conference fee and registration:
The conference fee for this two-day event including a conference dinner and lunches is € 350. Early bird registration fee is € 300. For PhD students, the fee is € 250.
For inclusion in the program and to be considered for the publication options, registration with payment confirmation of the fee is required. The registration site will open soon.
Important dates:

Acceptance confirmation: November 15, 2018 at the latest
Full paper submission: January 15, 2018
Early bird registration deadline: December 1, 2018
