Accepted wisdom is that, much like the Internet in the 1990s, it will become a critical technology platform that will underpin some of the most transformative and disruptive innovations from cryptocurrencies to contract law to privacy to cybersecurity. Students in business, technology, law, entrepreneurship and economics will assuredly encounter blockchain and its applications during their professional lifetimes. In the Fall of 2018 MSU will be offering a course in Blockchain Fundamentals and Applications. This comprehensive course covers both the technology behind blockchain (at a high level, for non-technical students) and the multiple opportunities for its application.
