Appointment and Position Description This is a nine-month tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with duties divided between Extension (60%) and Research (40%). The position is in the Department of Soil, Water, and Climate on the flagship Twin Cities campus of the U of M. Applications are encouraged from candidates with expertise in any relevant area of climate science, such as meteorology, climatology, atmospheric chemistry, hydroclimatology, hydrometeorology, etc. The appointee will be expected to develop an extension program to communicate critical climate and meteorological information useful for decision making, and to develop a locally, nationally, and internationally recognized research program related to climate science.
