Dear Colleagues
We are pleased to announce that we are inviting applications for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (equivalent US academic rank Assistant/Associate prof.) for qualified individuals who have a subject specialism in either International Management or International Human Resource Management. Please note this is an additional post to the International Management one that has recently closed.

We seek to appoint an individual committed to the success and development of the Newcastle University Business School http://www.ncl.ac.uk/business-school/ as active and engaged citizens. Individuals with interest in the future of work and developing future leaders, who care about nurturing academic colleagues and students to reach their potential and who connect with organisations, are encouraged to apply.

The primary purpose of the post is to support research and teaching in the International Business Management area. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who:

  *   Conducts research in the subject area of International Management or International HRM and can deliver research-led teaching in the subject area;
  *   Conducts research that demonstrates international standards of excellence in terms of originality, significance and rigour;
  *   Demonstrates impact by developing research-based solutions to real-world problems and engages with external stakeholders to develop the impact of their work;
  *   Has pursued, and will continue to pursue, external funding;
  *   Has a commitment to high quality teaching and learning.

You will be a member of the Leadership, Work and Organisation (LWO) subject group (see link below). Members of the group contribute to teaching undergraduate programmes in Business Management and International Business Management, as well as postgraduate programmes in International Business Management, Global Human Resource Management and the MBA.

Applicants should have a good honours degree and PhD in a relevant discipline and be able demonstrate evidence of, or a willingness to take on, management and leadership roles within in the school if applying at Senior Lecturer level.
