This position is responsible for the coordination, management, and maintenance of the geographic information system tools utilized by the Water Resources Division's Surface Water Assessment Section to augment efforts in monitoring Michigan's watersheds pursuant to the Department of Environmental Quality's Water Quality Monitoring Strategy. This position also assists on field collection of environmental data related to monitoring efforts including, but not limited to, assessing the biological integrity and habitat quality of Michigan's surface waters, fish collections to support the Fish Contaminant Monitoring Program, and water chemistry sampling to support the Water Chemistry Monitoring Program.
