Darrell M. West is vice president and director of Governance Studies and the founding director of the Center for Technology Innovation at the Brookings Institution. Before joining Brookings, he was a Professor of Political Science and Public Policy and Director of the Taubman Center for Public Policy at Brown University. He is the author or co-author of 22 books, the newest of which, The Future of Work: Robots, AI, and Automation, will be published by Brookings in July, 2018. He holds an A.B. in political science from Miami University of Ohio and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in political science from Indiana University.

Bryan Vartabedian is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Texas Children's Hospital/Baylor College of medicine in Houston. His expertise lies in understanding the emerging digital culture of medicine and how new media can be leveraged by health care organizations and individual stakeholders. Dr. Vartabedian previously served as the Director of Digital Professionalism for Baylor College of Medicine. He is the founder of 33 charts, a site which has come to serve as a center of community, surrounding physicians and their transition to the digital space. Cited as an example of early 21st thought leadership, 33 charts was recently chosen to be archived in its entirely in the National Library of Medicine.

Andy Chang is Director of Product Marketing for the Americas at KUKA AG, an international robotics company based in Germany. Before joining KUKA, he served for several years at National Instruments, progressing from a controls engineer to a global program manager for academic research. He has produced more than 100 scientific articles and publications. Mr. Chang holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering (ME) from the University of California, San Diego; a master’s degree in ME from the University of Michigan; and is a PhD candidate in ME at the University of Texas.

Srikanth Saripalli is a Co-Director of the Center for Autonomous Vehicles and Sensor Systems at Texas A&M University. His research focuses on robotic systems, particularly in air and ground vehicles and necessary foundations in perception, planning and control for this domain. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.  His lab is developing fleets of electric autonomous vehicles that have been deployed on a hotel campus and on the campus of Texas A&M.   He holds a B.E. (Honors) in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences; and MS and PhD degrees in computer science from the University of Southern California.

Michael Stewart is the Chairman and CEO of Lucid.ai, a company he founded in 2008 to build applications of the Cyc platform of artificial intelligence in the healthcare, finance, and public sectors. He launched his first business while he was an entrepreneurship student at Baylor University. In the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, he served as a principal systems design specialist for the U.S. government, pioneering next-generation Knowledge Computing and Intelligent Software Agent systems. As Chairman and CEO of Express Star Systems, he designed software for the first integrations of CAD systems, relational databases, and business analytic algorithms. He returned to government systems design for several years, and then performed consulting services as a partner in the Torii Group.  In addition to his work at Lucid, Mr. Stewart is among the founders of AI Austin - a non-profit organization promoting ethical development of artificial intelligence technologies.

Debi Stack is CEO of Anticipatory.AI, a new venture, and served as a consulting partner at IBM Watson. She has broad experience in business and IT strategy, consulting, and business development. At IBM, she led a management consulting team to serve the company's global, C-level clients on issues related to artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. Her teams delivered some of the first Watson AI prototypes: chatbots, digital assistants, and reference architecture for a semi-conductor client. Before joining IBM, at Dell, she launched a new consulting practice for the communications, media and entertainment industry. Ms. Stack holds a B.S. in marketing from the University of New Orleans and an MBA from the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University.

Vishwanath (Vish) Madhugiri is the Chief Strategy Officer for SAAZ Micro Inc, a digital imaging start-up company.  He has nearly 30 years of experience in technology leadership and global business development in Asia, Europe, and the United States. After earning master’s degrees in applied physics and business administration at Indian universities, he launched his career at the TATA Group (a huge Indian multinational conglomerate), organizing global collaborations. Later, in the UK, he served in technology leadership positions at Lycamobile, Infosys Technologies, and CERCIA (a unit of the University of Birmingham). He came to the United States two years ago as CIO at Carmatec, but recently moved to his new position at SAAZ Micro Inc.  He is a member of the India Council on Competitiveness, the Dallas Innovation Alliance, and the Advisory Council of the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas.

Daniel Mark Ogden is an attorney at law, a licensed customs broker, and an international trade consultant.  For more than 25 years, he has counseled and represented U.S. and foreign companies on international trade and business legal and regulatory issues. He is a former Chair of the National District Export Council and currently is a member of the North Texas District Export Council, chairing the Compliance and Security Committee. He is teaching a new course on trade compliance at the Baylor Hankamer School of Business. He received his JD degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law and a Masters of International Management from the University of Texas at Dallas Graduate School of Management.

Greg Chalkley is Executive Director of Global Trade Services at Maxim Integrated, a publicly traded company that designs and manufactures integrated circuits for industrial, consumer, and computing markets. He is responsible for trade services strategies across Maxim’s worldwide operations. Before joining Maxim, he held senior positions at Texas Instruments and International Harvester. He was recently appointed to the executive committee of the North Texas District Export Council and has twice served on the Board of Directors of the Council of Supply Chain Management. Mr. Chalkley earned a BS degree in Transportation and Public Utilities Management at Indiana University and an MBA in International Business at Amberton University.

Joseph Vicario is Senior Counsel for International Trade Regulation at Texas Instruments and serves at TI as Secretary to the Ethics and Compliance Committee, legal counsel to the Ethics Office, and on the Corporate Compliance Committee. Prior to his employment at TI‚ Mr. Vicario was in private law practice for over 12 years in Washington‚ D.C.  He served as Chairman of the Joint Industry Group‚ a coalition of companies and trade associations engaged in international trade, and remains active in several professional associations. He holds a BA in government and foreign affairs the University of Virginia, a JD from the Georgetown University Law Center (where he was an editor of the journal, Law and Policy in International Business), and a graduate certificate in dispute resolution from Southern Methodist University.
