Additional Educational Resources UPDATED WEEKLY! From our community partners: South Lansing Urban Garden Gardening Series At last month’s workshop the topic was dreaming about your 2018 gardens. Different ways to create and use a garden journal were reviewed, as well as adding new and/or improving on new garden space. Also discussed was the need to budget for those garden dreams. On Saturday, February 24, dreams will start to be put into action. We will be discussing the difference between cold and warm crops and their growing requirements, the concept of square foot vegetable gardens, crop rotation, seed starting techniques, and protecting early crops from late frost with easy to use tunnels. The best part of these workshops is the open discussions and sharing of experiences. Whether you are a seasoned gardener looking for new tips and techniques, or a first time gardener who doesn’t know the difference between a plant and a weed, these workshops are for you! Don’t worry if you missed the first session, you will not feel lost or behind. So appropriate preparations, can be made.RSVP's are appreciated to email [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
