We are partnering with South Dakota SRM, and looking for up to 5 interns to work full-time summer hours (40+ hours). Internship will span over several semesters to gain a comprehensive experience of working on a productive ranch/farm operation and understanding the role of a ranching and farming and how Conservation plays into an operation. The selected candidates will assist a producer and other landowners in day-to-day farming operations from planting to harvest and calving to weaning. They will also learn about designing, developing and building habitat improvements on private lands. This individual will work side-by-side with producers daily for a 4-week period and live on site to gain a comprehensive understating of farming practices and conservation. The intern will also spend 4 weeks working with Pheasants Forever Farm Bill Biologist and NRCS field office staff. Farming experience not required. Application deadline is February 20, 2018.
