This is a Part-Time or Full-Time term position that will conclude when the specific project is complete. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (NGPC) photo library houses approximately 2000 color film transparencies illustrating Nebraska’s saline wetlands, taken by commission staff during the 1980s and 1990s. The images visually document historical changes to one of the most unique and threatened wetland communities in Nebraska. Pheasants Forever, Inc. (PF), NGPC, and the Saline Wetland Conservation Partnership (SWCP) seek a digital imagery staff assistant to assist with preserving and making publicly accessible this unique collection of photographs. Digitizing the collection will not only preserve these valuable, film-based assets, but also offer new opportunities for the study and advocacy of an important and endangered Nebraska eco-region.
