Lazaridis Chair (Canada)

 

The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada invites applications for the position of Lazaridis Chair. The position is subject to budgetary approval, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2019.

The Lazaridis Institute for the Management of Technology Enterprises was established in 2016 to help Canadian technology companies become globally competitive. LI has three mandates: 1) help firms reach their next level of growth through innovative new programs and a global network of expert mentors; 2) conduct insightful research to develop new knowledge about management as it relates to high growth technology companies; and 3) create links between international research, management best practices and curriculum to directly benefit the students at Wilfrid Laurier University. The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics has over one hundred full-time faculty and more than five thousand undergraduate and graduate students on campuses in Waterloo and Brantford, and a location in Toronto, Ontario. With a mission to achieve excellence in management education, the school offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including Honours BBA, MBA, MFin, Executive Masters in Technology Management (EMTM) and PhD. Faculty publish in leading journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Management. This position is for a 5-year renewable term and will hold a tenured faculty appointment. Compensation and benefits are competitive and consistent with those available to faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University. The Chair is supported with a generous research stipend and attractive teaching load.
