These positions will work jointly with Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) to carry out the provisions of their Voluntary Public Access and Habitat Improvement Program (VPA-HIP) grant through the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). This includes promoting and implementing both hunter access and habitat management programs and practices on private lands. These individuals will work with existing PGC Hunter Access cooperators and recruit new cooperators to the program. Additionally, these positions will work jointly with the PGC, NRCS, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) to implement, and promote NRCS’ Working Lands for Wildlife Golden-Winged Warbler (GWWA) Initiative. Positions will be employees of, and supervised by Pheasants Forever, Inc., with additional instruction and leadership provided by PGC. Funding for these positions is provided through the Farm Bill’s VPA-HIP administered through the PGC. Application deadline is December 19, 2017.
