Call for "Exhibition Hall" Poster Session Submissions
The Institute for Cross Cultural Management (ICCM) at the Florida Institute of Technology invites poster submissions to be presented during our "Scientist-Practitioner Exhibition " event at the 2018 Cross Cultural Management Summit.<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__research3.fit.edu_iccm_summit_&d=DwIFAg&c=nE__W8dFE-shTxStwXtp0A&r=6Y2QCNo0G4B9Jb70PwpmYHiR9ZnKL_MZSkQd5jQW3Rs&m=_b4kU1JFLwzubjfHDRpc6oVhkJjtPmWMfVMtA0lwimo&s=7oIl1n6QSy3bnERe2cCHvSEOustdOdqY0Ly_vQ00jHE&e=> The Summit brings together experts from academia, government, and global industry to discuss the cultural challenges facing global organizations and to create real-world solutions. The Exhibition Hall Poster Session gives academics and professionals an opportunity to exhibit their own research while attending the Summit.
Posters are not required to align with the overall themes of the 2018 Summit, but must be related to cross-cultural management in general. However, posters which do align with our themes of innovation, problem solving, and well-being are recommended. Posters highlighting evidence-based best practices are encouraged. While conceptually similar to a traditional poster session, posters should highlight the participants program of research (rather than a specific study). This 30 thousand foot view helps facilitates conversations with other potential research partners, but also with industry leaders, and other global professionals. Please see below for detailed submission guidelines.
When will posters be presented?
Posters will be exhibited during breakfast on the second day of the Summit (Saturday, March 24th) from 7:30am to 9am, giving attendees the opportunity to share knowledge and gain insight from one another in a casual environment.
Who can submit a poster session proposal?
Anyone (e.g., faculty, graduate students, researchers, business practitioners, policy makers, non-profit workers) interested in sharing their thoughts and experience in cross-cultural management is welcome to submit. Submissions can be theoretical, empirical, and/or practical in nature.
What are the requirements for the proposal submission?
Thought leaders who wish to participate in the "The Scientist-Practitioner Exhibition" poster session at the 2018 Summit should submit a brief description/abstract of the poster concept, content, and evidence (if appropriate). The submission should be a single document with a maximum length of 1,000 words excluding references, tables, and figures. The submission can be any combination of empirical, theoretical, or technical presentation. In addition, reports of cutting edge best practices or international business outcomes are highly encouraged. Submissions should not be identical with work previously presented for other conferences or accepted for publication.
How will accepted posters be formatted?
Template for poster layouts will be provided once accepted.
How do I submit my abstract?
All submissions should be submitted via email to the Program Chair Julianna Fischer at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> no later than 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Friday, January 19th, 2018.
What are the procedures for submission review and decision?
Submissions will be peer reviewed for content by a panel of experts, with recommendations for revisions being sent to the primary author if necessary. Feedback will be sent by the end of February in order to provide ample time for revision.
Any remaining questions?
Please contact Program Chair Julianna Fischer at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or Summit Chair Dr. Zhiqing Zhou at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
