Evaluates hardware and software applications; support installation; and participates in the testing of new equipment/systems. Develops, implements, maintains, and evaluates a roadmap for technology acquisition, use, and refresh in the Watt Center. Assessment and Campus-wide Coordination: 20% - Essential Collaborates with the Watt Center Executive Director and Associate Director for Academic Affairs, Clemson Online, Office of Teaching Effectiveness and Innovation, and Office for Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment to identify technical requirements and deploy capabilities that are consistent with the needs of the University in the areas of distance education, faculty development, and program assessment. Conducts assessments of the impacts of Watt Center technology use. Training Development and Management: 20% - Essential Manages the technical configuration and training conducted at the Watt. Develops and delivers a training program for Watt users that transitions them from traditional instructional delivery methods. Assists researchers and faculty in becoming proficient in using multimedia technologies available in the Watt and with technologies that provide interoperability with distributed locations. Develops a training and operations plan for the Watt Communications studios and deliver instruction. Coordinates training schedules with Watt staff. Development: 10% - Essential Supports Watt Center external funding activities including interactions with potential donors/sponsors. Supports proposal and grant applications.
