Teaching-Track Position Announcement

 

The Department of Management of CUHK Business School now seeks to appoint a high calibre candidate teaching track position, named “Professional Consultant” or a courtesy title of “Associate Professor or Professor of Practice in Management” in the field of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, with emerging phenomenon focus a plus (e.g. Digitalization, Business Sustainability, Family Business, One Belt One Road, China Business) to be involved in the teaching and academic support of its executive degree programmes (such as MBA/EMBA/MiM, etc.). The Business School first offered executive degree programme in 1993, aiming to nurture top-notch management talents to meet the needs of Hong Kong, mainland China and the world.  It now offers a number of executive degree programmes based in Hong Kong and Mainland China. In light of rising corporate and managerial complexity and new challenges facing senior executives, the Business School sees new opportunities for its executive education degree programmes to groom the next generation of executives who can bring and sustain competitive advantages of enterprises regionally and globally.

 

The appointee is expected to deliver high quality teaching in the executive degree programmes and provide support to the programmes’ development in the global context. The appointee will provide input for the overall success of executive education degree programmes, enhancing the quality and reputation of the programmes, strengthening connection with the profession as well as community engagement. The appointee should have good connection with the professional community, an international outlook, outstanding communication and networking skills, a long-term vision as well as strong commitment for executive education. Familiarity with the region is an advantage.

 

Applicants should preferably have a higher degree in any business or other related discipline and strong track record in teaching reputatable executive degree programmes.  Appointment will be made on contract basis for two years and subject to renewal, and may come along with a courtesy title of Associate Professor of Practice / Professor of Practice in the relevant discipline.
