Center for Sustainability Research and Consultancy (CSRC) Pakistan and Lebanese International University (LIU) in collaboration with School of Economics, Finance and Banking, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Emerald Group Publishing UK; UN Principles of Responsible Management Education; and other esteemed collaborating institutions seek to invite academicians and research scholars to submit their abstract/full papers for presentation at 1st International Conference on Economics Business and Social Sciences | 2nd IRC 2017-LIU chapter to be held on December 21-22, 2017. The parallel sessions of the conference will take place at Lebanese International University, Beirut campus.

Call for Papers: Special Issue of Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences (JEAS)

1st ICEBS 2017 (2nd IRC 2017-LIU chapter) is supported by Emerald Publishing. Selected papers from the conference will be published in the special issue of JEAS. The theme of the special issue is “Sustainability challenges for economy and business in emerging and developing economies”. Both conceptual and empirical papers are invited in relation to the theme.

The guest editors of the special issue are:

Prof. Dr. Kuperan Viswanathan, OYA Graduate School of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Sulaman Hafeez Siddiqui, Department of Management Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahwalpur Pakistan.

To ensure rigor in published articles, the Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences (JEAS) operates a double blind peer review process with a minimum of two referees per paper. The Journal is indexed in the Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). As well as providing a mark of quality for the journal, inclusion in the ESCI allows papers published in the journal to be searchable, discoverable and citable via the Web of Science. JEAS has enjoyed a 37% increase in article downloads in 2017 YTD, reaching over 10,500 downloads (about 70 downloads per paper on average). This indicates the journal is receiving much wider exposure and interest.

After the conference the authors will be invited to submit full papers to the online submission system of JEAS. Please submit your paper at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jeas following the author guidelines of the journal set here. Please select the special issue entitled “Sustainability challenges for economy and business in emerging and developing economies”, and submit your paper before 28th of February 2018. 

Expected Publication Schedule: The expected date of the special issue publication is December 2018. However, the accepted papers will be available online through the journal website.

Planning Your Content

·         An extended abstract of up to 300-350 words can be submitted to the guest editors ([log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask]).

·         The accepted authors will be invited to present their paper at 1st ICEBS 2017. 

·         Full paper can be submitted after presentation at 1st ICEBS 2017 at LIU Beirut Campus. Full article needs to be approximately 3,000-8,000 words long.
