Assistant Professor of International Business
(Global Supply Chain Management, International Trade Operations, Global Sustainable Development and Poverty Reduction, International Marketing Analysis)

The Greehey School of Business at St. Mary's University invites applications for an assistant professor of International Business with a start date of August 2018. The desired applicant should hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree from an AACSB accredited University with major concentration in areas related to International Business/International Marketing. The Greehey School provides future leaders with a business education grounded in faith, values and service within a learning community committed to the Catholic and Marianist ideals of education. We produce graduates who are skilled, ethical, professional, globally aware and prepared for careers of meaning and purpose.  As part of this commitment, preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate an interest in affiliating with the University's Center for Catholic Studies and who work to integrate global sustainable development, poverty reduction, social justice with Catholic social teaching. ABD candidates with an expected completion date within one year of appointment will be considered.
The position is housed in the Management Department of the Greehey School of Business. The Department has 14 full-time faculty who serve three majors. The School recently undertook a complete revision of the International Business major to better respond to market needs. These changes have resulted in a robust curriculum that will better serve the needs of students and the market. These changes include creation of two tracks within the major (International Marketing and International Trade Operations) and two practicums for each track. New courses include Global Supply Chain Management, Global Market Analysis, Global Social Media Marketing, and International Market Entry Strategies. Faculty in the department also teach core courses common to all business majors.  At the graduate level, faculty members provide instruction to students enrolled in the School's two MBA programs.

The Greehey School of Business is AACSB accredited.  At the undergraduate level, it offers a BBA with majors in Accounting, Accounting and Data Analytics, Finance & Risk Management, Management, Marketing, and International Business.  It also offers has a track in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. At the graduate level, the school offers an 18-month cohort based Greehey MBA, and an MBA for Professionals (MBAP) which starts in fall 2017. Class sizes are small with an average faculty to student ratio of 1:17. San Antonio is one of the top ten fastest growing cities in the country with the San Antonio-Austin corridor described as the "New Major Metropolis" by major news media. The School has an excellent reputation for academic quality and a very successful alumni base that is engaged with the School and the University.

St. Mary's is the oldest Catholic university in the Southwest, and continues to advocate the Marianist mission of academic excellence and servant leadership. Founded in 1852 by the Society of Mary (Marianists), St. Mary's is a comprehensive Catholic and Marianist university with a strong tradition of integrating liberal arts with professional studies.
