Position in International Management
Description:
The department of management at North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor
position in the focal area of International Management. A secondary focus in Strategic Management is preferred. The position begins August 2018 and will require teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, maintaining an active research agenda, and participating
in university service and student engagement activities.
The teaching load is typically 9 hours per semester in the area of international management and other areas of management as needed. Salary is AACSB competitive
and dependent upon qualifications.
Located in Greensboro, North Carolina A&T State University is one of the 16 constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina System and the 9th largest university in North Carolina
serving close to 12,000 students. The College of Business and Economics has been
accredited by AACSB International since 1979 and the Accounting program since 1986.
North Carolina A&T is a vibrant campus and community with strong Aggie pride. The University boasts highly successful and active alumni with a significant
global footprint. The Department of management department concentrations in General Management, Management Information Systems (MIS), Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and International Management.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have qualifications to teach a range of International Business (IB) and related courses in the undergraduate, MBA,
and future doctoral program(s), as well as conduct high-quality IB research. ABDs will be considered, but must complete all requirements for the doctorate by the date of appointment. Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment and ability/potential to conduct
high-quality scholarly research publishable in top outlets on topics important to international business, evidenced by publications in scholarly journals and/or scholarly works-in-progress and show
promise maintain an active research agenda.
Applicants must also demonstrate teaching excellence, excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to use diverse teaching
methodologies.
