Does the flash drive mount, but just fail to find the files you want, or
does the drive fail to mount at all? In the former case, I have heard
testimonials that SpinRite has recovered data from flaky flash drives
(bearing in mind that those testimonials come through the maker of
SpinRite). If the drive fails to mount at all, then I would say all
hope is lost.
