The AIB-India Chapter is delighted to announce the second offering of Ind-IB! This program provides doctoral students and faculty the opportunity to gain in-depth understanding of key IB theories and frameworks, create strong research linkages with IB scholars across India and internationally, and develop IB research agendas with the ongoing mentorship of senior academics experienced in publishing in international journals. Ind-IB is appropriate for IB scholars, as well as those from other fields who are interested in undertaking IB research and would like to gain more exposure to the field.

Ind-IB modules will be delivered by specialist faculty from India and overseas. The lead faculty members for the Ind-IB program are Professors Sumit Kundu (Florida International University), Ram Mudambi (Temple University), S. Raghunath (IIM Bangalore), and Elizabeth Rose (University of Otago). Additional faculty will be involved in lecturing and mentoring.

The 2017-18 offering of Ind-IB will consist of three two-day, intensive modules, each adjacent to a scheduled AIB-India Chapter event. The modules are scheduled for December 2017, April 2018, and December 2018.

Participants are expected to attend all three of the modules – Ind-IB is designed to be a program, rather than a series of stand-alone courses. Each module will have assigned pre-reading, which participants are expected to have completed in advance of the opening session. There will be no registration fee associated with the Ind-IB modules, but participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

The first module will take place on 21st and 22nd December 2017 at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in Kolkata. The focus of the module will be on internationalization.

THE IND-IB MODULE WILL BE FOLLOWED BY A PAPER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP (PDW), AT IIFT KOLKATA, ON 23RD DECEMBER 2017.

Dates and topics for the April 2018 and December 2018 modules will be announced.

Enrolment in Ind-IB will be restricted to 40 participants. Applications should include the application form (see the attachment) and a one-page research summary/statement of purpose, and be submitted to the AIB-India Secretariat ([log in to unmask]) by 16th October 2017. In the case of oversubscription, priority will be given to doctoral students and junior faculty.
