I seek applicants for two Ph.D. positions in the Soil Ecology lab
(http://www.clemson.edu/cafls/faculty_staff/profiles/vsuseel) in the
Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences at Clemson University,
SC, USA. The primary emphasis of one of the USDA-NIFA supported projects
is to evaluate the changes in soil carbon cycling, plant-soil feedbacks
and the potential legacy effect of invasive plants at regional scales.
The emphasis of the second project is on plant and microbe mediated
rhizosphere interactions, and soil carbon dynamics in conventional and
low input agroecosystems. The students would work as part of a multi-
institutional team of research scientists and postdocs.
