International business is about relationships – relationships between countries, special contexts (local/regional, national, and global), academic disciplines, and people. The question for this year’s conference pertains to
global-local connections and their rising challenges.
How does, or how will, the populist movement (e.g. Brexit), new trade rhetoric, trade policies, politics, and increased automation affect globalization and the stakeholders in the new global context? Is de-globalization the rising trend? Our conference aims
to advance the conversation on these important local-global connections.
