Open position

The Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Economics Department of SKEMA Business School is seeking applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor position beginning on September 1st, 2018. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in research through peer-reviewed publications (associate position) or possess a promising research potential (assistant position). Experienced applicants should possess a good track record in teaching in undergraduate, masters, and post graduates programs. The successful candidate will be a member of the KTO Research Center. The position is based on SKEMA's Sophia Antipolis campus, which is located on the French Riviera.

Requirements :

•   PhD in Strategic Management, Management and Innovation or a related field.

•   Publications in high-quality journals and/or a credible pipeline of high-quality research projects.

•   A proven ability to deliver excellent teaching in different programs or demonstrable teaching potential.

•   Ability to teach in English.

•   Experience of research supervision and/or contribution to research activities.

 

About the Strategy Entrepreneurship and Economics Department and the KTO Research Center

The Strategy Entrepreneurship and Economics Department comprises around 30 full- and part-time faculty members across SKEMA's campuses. The department provides a range of programs and courses, from the undergraduate through to the PhD level. The MSc programs cover specializations such as Digital Business, International Strategy and Influence and International Business. The PhD program in management is well-established and boasts graduate placements in recognized institutions.

KTO is empirically oriented, with a traditional focus on Innovation and runs a PhD in Management. KTO faculty aims at the highest standards of academic excellence and has published in top-tier journals such as the American Economic Review, Review of Economics and Statistic, American RAND Journal of Economics. Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Harvard Business Review, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Economic Geography, Research Policy, Industrial and Corporate Change, Organization Studies, Human Resource Management etc. Funding for conference attendance, research support, access to most attractive databases (such as WRDS, ThomsonOne, and Bureau van Dijk), teaching and research assistantship are available.

We will schedule sessions for informal meetings at the 2017 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Atlanta.
