Dear Academics and Researchers,

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government is hosting the 2nd UAE Public Policy Forum on January 15 and 16, 2018 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai and we are looking for high-quality presentations on the theme  Shaping the Future of Public Private Partnerships.  This is a fundamental theme as governments around the world seek to diversify their economy and provide their growing population with the required public services and infrastructure. There is an increased interest in using Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) as a solution. The transformation that is currently taking place with regards to economic diversification in the GCC has created space for  this participatory model  which holds vast potential but requires policy adaptation to optimize the mutual benefits to the public and private sector, as well as citizens.

The UAE Public Policy Forum will attract a range of delegates from a cross-section of the public and private sector for interactive deliberations on the Public Private Partnership in the areas listed below. You are invited to submit academic papers and cases studies related to these sectors.

The plenaries, seminars, academic presentations, exhibits and knowledge hubs at the forum will be structured around six pillars:

  1.  Defining, designing and evaluating PPPs.  (Identifying PPPs in the Global/ Regional/Local context)
  2.  Enabling environments for PPPs . (Political , legal, financial  and institutional frameworks)
  3. Strategic Planning for PPPs. (What is the process for developing and implementing a PPP project?).
  4. Accountability and performance of PPPs (case studies, alternative models)
  5. Technology and innovation in PPPs
  6. Policy development for PPPs in the future.

The deadline for all abstract submissions is September 15, 2017. Full paper submission deadline is October 20, 2017.  We have a limited number of sessions, which will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. So, do not wait, make your submission soon!
