Assistant Professor of Management - OBHR, tenure-track
Kogod School of Business, Management Department

The Kogod School of Business, American University, invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track appointment in Management with a specialization in organizational behavior or human resource management at the assistant professor rank, to begin Fall semester 2018. The position is conditional on final authorization. We welcome applications from current Ph.D. aspirants, as well as experienced junior-level candidates.

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. An application must include a cover letter, a current and complete curriculum vitae, copies of teaching evaluations, and contact information for three references. Candidates who wish to be considered for the Academy of Management conference interviews should submit all materials by 5 pm EDT July 24, 2017.

Qualifications include:
*         Ph.D., or anticipated Ph.D. by August 2018, in Management meso or micro areas (e.g., organizational behavior or human resource management) or a closely related field, with possible secondary interest in areas such as research methods or psychology.

  *   Strong commitment to high-quality research in meso or micro Management disciplines
  *   Primary research and teaching interest in organizational behavior or human capital.
  *   Potential for effective teaching at all levels.
  *   Demonstrated collegiality, good citizenship, and professional background.

Responsibilities include:

  *   High quality undergraduate and graduate teaching
  *   Research targeted at top-tier and high quality journals
  *   Participation in department, school, university, and professional activities
