This is a one-year position to assist with Lake Erie fisheries ecology research. The position will involve field data collection from a large vessel, laboratory work, and data entry and processing. We are seeking an individual who can work full time - 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime to complete fieldwork. The pay is $16.66 per hour for candidates who meet the qualifications below. The successful candidate will conduct work as a sole proprietor under a USGS student services contract; therefore, no benefits are offered and healthcare and tax withholdings are the responsibility of the contractor. A start date of September 1st, 2017, or sooner is preferred, but negotiable. The position will be based in Sandusky, Ohio at the Great Lakes Science Center’s Lake Erie Biological Station. The position may be extended for a second year, subject to availability of funds.
