The position will involve field data collection from a large vessel, laboratory work, and data entry and processing. We are seeking an individual who can work full time - 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime to complete fieldwork. The pay is $16.66 per hour for candidates who meet the qualifications below. The successful candidate will conduct work as a sole proprietor under a USGS student services contract; therefore, no benefits are offered and healthcare and tax withholdings are the responsibility of the contractor. A start date of September 1st, 2017, or sooner is preferred, but negotiable. The position will be based in Sandusky, Ohio at the Great Lakes Science Center’s Lake Erie Biological Station.
