Learning & Research Evaluation Specialist, Temporary Full-Time

The Learning & Research Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation and reporting of research and evaluation work at and for Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh (CMP) and in partnership with Indiana University (IU). The majority of this work addresses making as a learning process, as well as innovative learning environments, both formal and informal. The research and evaluation efforts of the partnership between the Museum and IU sit at the intersection of research and practice, seeking to further both fields. This position will focus on the research and evaluation of a national program to integrate making as a learning process into schools across the country. This includes the rapid development and testing of tools to measure and evaluate learning through making, as well as evaluation of the program itself. The successful candidate is a member of the Learning & Research Team at the Museum, which includes researchers, evaluators, museum educators and administrators, as well as a member of the STEM Education Research Group at Indiana University. In addition, this position may have affiliation with the University of Pittsburgh Center for Learning in Out of School Environments (UPCLOSE). Click here to learn more about this position.
