Seeking Agriculture Social Scientist Postdoctoral Scholar

The Berkeley Food Institute (BFI) seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar for a one-year position (renewable, pending funding) to conduct research for a new soil health policy project at the University of California, Berkeley. The project will be a comprehensive analysis of the motivations, barriers, and enabling conditions that affect the ability of farmers in California to implement diversified farming practices that advance beneficial soil health outcomes.

BFI seeks to transform food systems— to expand access to healthy, affordable food and promote sustainable and equitable food production. The successful candidate will report to the Principal Investigator and work closely with staff at Berkeley Food Institute in carrying out the project.

Deadline: 5 pm PST, August 4, 2017 (we will look at applications as they come in).
