Dear AIB community,

On September 27-28, 2017 the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana (triple accredited) in Ljubljana (Slovenia) will be hosting the 4th AIB-CEE chapter conference. For the first time, the AIB-CEE chapter will also be organizing the 1st doctoral and junior faculty development workshop on rigor and relevance in IB research on September 26, 2017. Please visit www.ef.uni-lj.si/aibcee2017 for more information and see the attached call for papers.

We are also happy to announce that top 3 papers from each of the tracks will have the opportunity to be published in a special thematic conference issue in the Journal of Business Research (IF2015=2.129) pending a positive double-blind review process. The theme of the issue will be “International business with Central and Eastern Europe: Changing Global Landscape and Regional Cooperation” under a three guest editorial team of: Desislava Dikova (WU Vienna), Matevz Raskovic (University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics) and AIB Fellow Tricia McDougall-Covin (Indiana University, Kelly School of Business). Only papers presented at the conference are eligible for the JBR theme issue. A general rule of “one person one paper” will be enforced, meaning that a person cannot appear as a leading author or co-author on multiple papers.

Submission for the JBR theme issue will open on August 15, 2017 and close November, 15, 2017 to allow revisions based on reviewer and conference feedback.

We look forward to welcoming you in Ljubljana, European Green Capital 2016 and the 2017 most sustainable tourist destination.

Matevz Raskovic and Andreja Jaklic, conference co-chairs
