In 1927, Jinan University established the Department of Nanyang Culture & Education, the first academic institution that conducts research on Southeast Asia and overseas Chinese in China. Since 2017 marks the 90th anniversary of the Department of Nanyang Culture & Education, the School of International Studies/ Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies, will hold the International Conference on the 90th Anniversary of Southeast Asian Studies and Overseas Chinese Studies, and the 2nd Award Ceremony of Yao Nan Translation Prize from July. 15 to 16, 2017. We sincerely invite academic colleagues and friends to join us.
