CALL FOR PAPERS
Competing in an Innovation-Driven Global Economy:
Institutions, Infrastructures, and Organization Design
Hong Kong, 13-14 December 2017
The Institute of International Business and Governance (IIBG) of The Open University of Hong Kong will organize the 2017 Annual Conference on the theme of ‘Competing in an Innovation-Driven Global Economy: Institutions, Infrastructures, and Organization Design’ on 13 and 14 December 2017.
Within the context of fierce global competition, the ability to innovate has become one of the key drivers of competitiveness for entrepreneurs, teams, organizations, industries, countries, as well as economies of all sizes. Because of this, the question of why, how, and under what conditions and circumstances that various types and forms of innovation can emerge and thrive has drawn considerable research attention from academic scholars. In addition, how infrastructures and organization structure and design may promote innovation has also been put under research spotlight.
We invite papers that respond to the theme and sub-themes of the conference. Conceptual, theoretical, and empirical papers, using qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies are welcome.
Conference participants are welcome to join the practitioners’ conference ‘Strengthening Innovation Capability for Global Competitiveness Conference’ to be held on 15 December 2017.
