Orchard Court and North School Garden Registration Meeting

Garden Project is hosting a garden registration event for Orchard Court and North School Gardens. Please come to register your plot for 2017! Learn the basics of converting your lawn into rich, healthy soil for a productive garden using natural and inexpensive materials. To be held at the Armory Community Garden, presented by the Garden Project and partners.

Resource Center Opening
The RC will open for spring hours beginning this Wednesday, April 19th from 10:00am - 1:00pm. We recommend that gardeners register prior to their first trip to the RC, however registrations will be available during the open hours. Summer Internship Positions Available
Garden Project is seeking two interns for the upcoming 2017 growing season. Interns will work directly with GP staff on a variety of tasks, between 10-20 hours per week throughout the season. Data Entry Volunteer Needed
Garden Project is currently seeking a stellar volunteer to assist with data entry. Volunteers must have experience with different databases and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Garden Project needs help, over the next 4-6 weeks, with entering garden registration info into our online database. Preferably, we would like someone who is available on Mondays or Tuesdays, for a 2-4 hour stretch of time, until the end of May.  We will provide you with all necessary training, as well as GP swag, all the coffee you can drink, and lots of appreciative high fives and smiles! Spotlight - Towar Garden
Located on the northwestern edge of East Lansing, Towar Garden received an overhaul last year...box elder trees were removed to increase sun exposure, cover crops planted and most importantly, it is now FULLY FENCED. This site has has a hand water pump and a fully stocked tool shed. It is a beautiful space to grow in and would welcome your involvement. North School Elementary Garden Voting Ends Soon
Henry H. North Elementary School <http://greaterlansingfoodbank.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9539010dd2b9c6e679453dd26&id=1f059f3880&e=c8a71f6374> in Lansing, Michigan, has entered the Seeds of Change® Grant Program <http://greaterlansingfoodbank.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9539010dd2b9c6e679453dd26&id=241ea3a454&e=c8a71f6374> and is asking the community to vote for its application on the brand’s website.The school submitted an application highlighting how they would use a Seeds of Change® Grant to grow their gardening program and nourish a healthier, greener community. Through April 19, you can vote to support this local school program by visiting the Seeds of Change® North School webpage <http://greaterlansingfoodbank.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9539010dd2b9c6e679453dd26&id=81b17ccde2&e=c8a71f6374> and voting once per day.
