Michael Frenkel is Associate Dean for International Relations and Diversity and Professor of Macroeconomics and International Economics at the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Koblenz, Germany.  Previously, he held positions at the University of Mainz and the International Monetary Fund.  He has held visiting positions at Harvard, U Michigan, Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon, Emory, and Brandeis, and has worked as a consultant for the IMF, the World Bank, and the European Commission.  He is the author or editor of numerous books and other publications. His undergraduate and doctoral degrees in economics were earned at the University of Mainz.

Andrea Glorioso is Counsellor for the Digital Economy at the Delegation of the European Union in Washington DC.  He serves as the liaison between the EU and US on policy, regulation and research activities related to the internet and information and communication technologies.  He worked for eight years at the European Commission on cyber-security, cloud computing, and internet governance. Before joining the EC, he worked at the NEXA Research Center for Internet and Society of the Polytechnic University of Turin, at the Media Innovation Unit of the Chamber of Commerce of Florence, and in the private IT sector for a number of multinational firms. A native of Padua, Italy, Mr. Glorioso holds an MSc in political science and sociology from the University of Padua, an LLM in intellectual property law from the University of Turin/WIPO Worldwide Academy, and post-graduate credentials in IT law, international diplomatic law, and global internet governance.

James F. Hollifield is Professor of Political Science, Director of the John Goodwin Tower Center for Political Studies, and the Ora Nixon Arnold Fellow of International Political Economy at Southern Methodist University. He has held faculty and research appointments at Duke, Harvard, Brandeis, Auburn, and the Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches Internationales in Paris.; has worked as a consultant for the U.S. government, U.N., World Bank, OECD, and ILO; and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.  He is the author of numerous books – most recently, Beyond Exceptionalism: Immigration and Integration in Germany and the United States with Barbara Heisler and Dietrich Thränhardt— and articles, supported by grants from the Social Science Research Council, Sloan Foundation, NSF, and other agencies. He earned his PhD in political science at Duke University, preceded by work at Institut d'Etudes Politiques, Wake Forest University, and Université de Grenoble.

Andreas Kannenberg is Executive Medical Director of Ottobock North America, an affiliate of the global medical technology firm based in Germany. He coordinates research for new products, initiation and management of clinical trials, medical training, and medical support for negotiations with healthcare clients.  A native of Berlin, Kannenberg attended Humboldt University and was licensed to practice medicine in Germany and the European Union. He joined Ottobock in Germany in 2003 as director of medical affairs. In earlier years, he held senior appointments at Bauerfeind AG, PreCon GmbH &Co AG, and Fresenius AG. His work was recognized in 2010 with a Thranhardt Award, presented by the American Orthotics & Prosthetics Association.

Corey D. Munn is a Global Business Manager in the advanced materials division of the 3M Company.  He is currently based at the corporate headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, but during 2013-2016, he served 3M clients in Middle East Africa and Central East Europe from offices in Dubai and Warsaw.  A fourth-generation Baylor alumnus, Corey interned at 3M in 2003 when he was a junior professional selling major, and became a full-time account representative in the electrical markets division of 3M upon graduation. He later completed his MBA at the University of Houston at Clear Lake.

Aránzazu Narbona is an Associate Professor of Economics at Saint Louis University in Madrid, Spain.  She teaches courses on political economy of the EU and contemporary European issues, and also is managing director of iTrainGlobal, an international provider of corporate training courses.  She has held visiting positions at Chonnam National University (Korea), the Bratislava University of Economics, and DePaul University, and has offered courses in Madrid for the University of Southern California. She completed her undergraduate studies in economics at Universidad de Alcalá, her doctorate in international economics at Université Catholique de Louvain, her PhD in international economics (Cum Laude) at Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, and a program for management development at the IESE Business School of the University of Navarra.

Michalis Nikiforos is a Research Scholar working in the State of the US and World Economies program of the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College. He works on the Institute’s macroeconomic model for the US economy and contributed to the recent construction of a similar model for Greece.  He has published papers in the Cambridge Journal of Economics, the Journal of Post Keynesian Economics,the Review of Radical Political Economics, the Review of Keynesian Economics,and Metroeconomica; along with the Levy Economics Institute Working Paper Series. Nikiforos holds a BA in economics and an MSc in economic theory from the Athens University of Economics and Business, and an MPhil and a PhD in economics from the New School for Social Research.

Mitchell P. Smith is Professor and Chair of International and Area Studies and holds the Max and Heidi Berry Chair in International Studies at the University of Oklahoma. He is also director of OU's European Union Center.  After receiving his BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, Smith spent two years as an economic analyst at the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. He earned his MPA Degree from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and his PhD from Princeton University's Department of Politics. Smith has been a Fulbright Fellow in European Union Affairs and a visiting fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels, Belgium. He also has been a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.  He is the author or editor of four books, the most recent being Environmental and Health Regulation in the United States and the European Union: Protecting Public and Planet, and his articles have appeared in West European Politics, The Journal of Legislative Studies, Politics & Society, Journal of Common Market Studies, and other journals.

Nicolas Véron cofounded Bruegel in 2002-05, joined the Peterson Institute for International Economics in 2009, and is currently employed on equal terms by both organizations. His research is primarily about financial systems and financial services policy, on which he has published widely since 2002. He has been a witness at numerous parliamentary hearings in the US Senate, European Parliament, and in several European member states; a financial policy expert for the European Commission and Court of Auditors; and a consultant to the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. He is also an independent board member of the global derivatives trade repository arm of DTCC, a financial infrastructure company that operates on a non-profit basis. A graduate of France’s Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole des Mines, his earlier experience includes senior positions in the French government and private sector in the 1990s and early 2000s. In September 2012, Bloomberg Markets included Véron in its yearly global “50 Most Influential” list, with reference to his early advocacy of European banking union.

Jorge Zukoski served as President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine from 1998 to 2014, working closely with the Ukrainian and US governments and the EU Commission on a variety of issues related to Ukraine’s independence, its transition from central planning to a market economy, and its development of commercial and investment ties with American and European companies. From 2010-2014 he also served on the board of the Kyiv School of Economics. He returned to the US in 2014 to serve as a senior business development representative for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, working with American companies on financing to projects in Eastern Europe. He left the Bank in 2015 to assume management of a family business in Florida. Mr. Zukoski holds a BBA from the University of North Florida and an MBA from the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University.
