Hi all,
If your work worlds are like mine, you interact with a lot of people who aren't necessarily doing education research, but make our lives better as we get our work done, or have the training and prefer doing different kinds of work, or really love working with teachers, or some mix of these things.
We're looking for someone to coordinate and lead the Maine STEM Partnership, which is housed in the Maine Center for Research in STEM Education. The job announcement is here:
https://umaine.hiretouch.com/job-details?jobID=38808&job=maine-stem-partnership-coordinatorThis job is very much about professional development (research-based, and with research on the PD, as well), working closely with teachers, building connections between faculty and teachers, and bringing the results of discipline-based education research (not just in physics, but also earth and life sciences, plus math) into K12 schools. We work with elementary, middle, and high school teachers.
If you know someone who would be interested in this kind of position, could you share the ad with them? If they have any questions, they can get in touch with me and I'd be happy to answer to the best of my ability.
Thank you!
Michael
