Everyone,
I realize it’s short notice, but tomorrow at 4pm several of us are getting together in the Broad College to discuss, broadly, MSU’s E&I curriculum and look for new opportunities to create courses and hire adjunct faculty next year.
If anyone would like to participate in the meeting, we welcome your involvement. Right now we’re scheduled to meet in my office (N120 in the Business College Complex), but if we have sufficient attendance, we’ll find a larger room (which
shouldn’t be too hard on a Friday afternoon).
If you’re interested in attending, please send me a short note.
Tx.

Subject: E&I Faculty Meeting
I want to thank everyone for their time this morning. Our inaugural event turned out very well, I thought, as evidenced by the dynamic discussion and great suggestions. Several of you have already followed-up with me to pursue various threads,
which I greatly appreciate, although it may take me until next week to get unburied.
Our intention will be to convene this body each semester, and over time, as we add new courses and have more faculty support E&I Experiences, the membership will grow. We’ll also create a ListServ shortly which will facilitate information
sharing among the members. Meantime, suggestions, comments and opinions are always very much appreciated.
I’ve attached the PPT slides that I showed today, but the main action item, if you haven’t already done so, is to sign up for our email list at
http://eship.msu.edu. That way you, along with everyone else in our ecosystem, will be notified of events and goings on. We would love to see you at some of our events as well. The calendar on the website is full of great
information.
And as I mentioned, I’m appreciative of any opportunity to talk about our programs to your students.
Sincerely,
Neil Kane
