Greetings,

Please help me get the word out about OEFFA's Begin Farming Program. We are excited to continue this important work that many of you are already doing with beginning farmers in Ohio's surrounding states. Note that these opportunities are not limited to Ohio residents.

Please feel free to share the following opportunities with your networks as you see fit.

Begin Farming Apprenticeship Program

• Up to nine apprentices will work on one of two central Ohio certified organic vegetable farms (paid position!)
• Offers personalized on and off-farm educational programs in addition to the apprenticeship
• Applications currently open for the 2017 season until December 16, 2016

• Eligible early career farmers looking for workshops to help improve their current operations will benefit from this educational opportunity to attend the OEFFA Conference Growing Today, Transforming Tomorrow, February 9-11 in Dayton, Ohio.
• The event will feature a workshop track devoted to beginning farming, in-depth pre-conference sessions, keynote speakers, local meals, and more.
• Applications are due by December 16, 2016 and awardees will be notified by January 12.

• Friendly, inclusive forum for beginning farmers (and experienced farmers willing to offer advice!) to network, ask questions, and share ideas, resources, events, and photos.
• This group is open to anyone looking for a place to connect with other farmers.
