The aim of these panels is to enable the discussion among senior and young researchers interested in Korean Studies. The rules remain the same to the proposition of other works. Evaluation Committee The proposals received will be reviewed by a committee composed of coordinators of previous meetings. The decision to submit a proposal to VIII EECAL assumes, in advance, the acceptance of the verdict of the Academic Committee, whose character is final. The scientific rigor, innovation and thematic originality of papers and the previous track record of Korean Studies and adherence to the theme of this call will be the main elements for the Committee to select the paper to be presented at the Congress. Sponsoring participation The VIII EECAL seeks to finance travel expenses in economy class and the lodging in the city of São Paulo to the authors who are selected, with the support of the Academy of Korea Studies and the institutions that are holding the event. In the case of collective works, it can only finance the attendance of one author at the meeting. In some cases, depending on the resources available, the organizers could provide partial support for transportation or accommodation to undergrad and graduate student participants of the parallel sessions. For abstract submission and specific inquiries, please contact the General Coordination of VIII EECAL at: [log in to unmask] Important remark The EECAL meetings carried out up today in several countries of Latin America were sponsored by the Korea Foundation. Recently, however, there has been a reorganization of duties between the Korean Foundation and the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS), in which the latter institution now will be responsible for granting funds for this kind of congress. As our proposal will be submitted in December and the grant will be announced only in February, we’d like to stress that the VIII EECAL is conditioned to the AKS grant confirmation. ____ AIB-L is brought to you by the Academy of International Business.
