I am sharing a CFA that may be of interest to members of this list, graduate students and postdocs in particular. Apologies for cross-posting! CALL FOR ABSTRACTS The Environmental Science and Policy Program (ESPP) at Michigan State University is now welcoming abstract submissions from graduate and undergraduate students for the 4th annual ESPP Research Symposium. The topic of the 2016 event is EnvironmentalHealth. The symposium will be held on November 11, 2016 at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center. Our vision for the event is to bring together multiple communities on campus that are working on different aspects of environmental health to share their experiences and identify collaborative opportunities. Students from all MSU Colleges and Departments are invited to present their work through oral and poster presentations. Presenters are encouraged to submit abstracts on topics addressing Environmental Health, including but not limited to engineering, policy, public health, and risk assessment and communication. As defined by the World Health Organization, environmental health ?encompasses the assessment and control of those environmental factors that can potentially affect health. It is targeted towards preventing disease and creating health-supportive environments?. One session will be devoted to the Flint water crisis. Submissions on topics on this subject are strongly encouraged. Research abstracts (of 250 words or less) must be submitted by September 12, 2016. Abstracts can be submitted for consideration at: http://www.espp.msu.edu/events/research_symposium/index.php. Presenters will be notified by October 12, 2016. Awards will be given for the best podium and posters presentations. Please direct any questions to [log in to unmask] Monica List Lic. Med. Vet., Mag.
